Cyberpunk 2077 Keanu Reeves

What triple-A games will be launched in 2020? What huge Hollywood productions are most anticipated in 2020? What fashion trends will you witness in 2020 and what huge festivals? All of these, even though they may seem unrelated to each other, are a gold mine for your dropshipping business. How and why? Read below on trends that predict future winning products for your store.

People follow trends. That’s a known fact since the dawn of history. More recently, people are even more influenced by what advertisements they see, what movies they watch, and what the big fashion households present on the stage. How can you turn all these into profit for your dropshipping store? Here are some hands-on examples we researched.

1. Cyberpunk 2077 – the most anticipated video game of 2020

A game developed by the polish people from CD Projekt Red (the creators of The Witcher Trilogy) who expect, and we quote, “phenomenal sales”, a game that features Keanu Reeves (yes, the Matrix star) and a video game already delayed “to make it exceptional”.

The video game takes place (surprise!) in a futuristic cyber…and punk…city of the future.

What can you, as a dropshipper, expect? A definite increase in orders for anything cyberpunk related – punk clothes, T-Shirts with cyberpunk images, gadgets and any steampunk objects.    You may even approach CD Projek Red and find out how can you become a licensed seller for their merchandise.

You DO have to be careful what you dropship, though! Even if, without a doubt, Aliexpress will have plenty of items related to the game (check the Witcher ones here, for example), you will NOT have the right to sell them! Read more about copyright and selling branded products here.

The game will be released on 17th of September 2020, so you have plenty of time to find the winning products, create a great video ad and start ca$hing in.

2. Mulan (The movie) and more hollywood films

Kids see it, kids want it, parents buy it! This is how life (usually) goes J . Following Disney’s live-action remake trend comes Mulan, directed by Niki Caro of Whale Rider and North Country fame. Featuring Chinese star Liu Yifei as the titular character and a host of other Chinese legends like Donnie Yen, Gong Li, and Jet Li, this one is poised to conquer the global box office and – if it taps into the animated original’s magic – our hearts.

If it will capture kids’ hearts, for sure there will be money to be made in dropshipping. And Mulan is a great character, as she comes from China. What else comes from China? Why, of course, Aliexpress and it’s thousands of related products for Mulan. Clothing and cosplay, jewelry, dolls.

As we already advised, take great care on branded merchandise – sell only non-copyrighted ones but that resemble characters from Mulan.

The movie will hit theatres on 22nd of July 2020.

Other movies you could profit from are Spongebob, Wonder Woman 1984 (cosplay costumes, clothing & apparel without copyright), Black Widow, Godzilla vs. Kong, Raya, and the Last Dragon (Disney production).

3. Capitalise on fashion trends

Each year there are different fashion trends worldwide and, with smart marketing, you can definitely capitalise on this.

Check this article on spring and summer fashion trends and build up a dropshipping business based on these.

After the coronavirus outbreak we’ll be dressing more risqué than before (potential in the bra section) , puffed clothing, wrapped ankles shoes, metallic leather, or broderie anglaise.

Check this article on how you can find the winning products.

4. Huge music festivals

Rock am Ring, Isle of Wight Festival, Ultra Europe, Untold Festival, Defcon, Awakenings or Afro Nation Festival – the world will definitely welcome all of these when the coronavirus outbreak will be over.

What to sell in preparation? Why not some festival clothing? Plenty of risqué material here, so as to be also in fashion ;). Festival accessories will have potential, as well as, of course, sunglasses to hide your hangover.

Do not let this opportunity go by!
